Working in a home studio means working alone.
HELL NO !!
I'm proud of finding unique voices, and I insist on that because we've all heard voices that...sound like someone else, an actor, a cousin, or just a regular Joe's voice.
But I love, in this business, to find Voices matching a very particular charisma and style, and usually we end up friends too.
Here is a short list of the very exclusive list of the LDV voices Family.
Dave Fennoy
One of the greatest voices of our time, his most notable performance is that of Lee Everett in TellTale Studios' The Walking Dead. Dave Fennoy has won numerous awards for his voice acting and voice-over work and has one of the most recognisable American voices! He is also an outstanding coach!
Madison Mitts
Watch her for that lady.
A few times I've handled her project as a co-director, and she did better than me, ended up full director because SHE KNOWS where to find the perfect voices too, she knows how to be an outstanding voice director, and her performance as well as a voice actress deserves a freaking BBC documentary about it
S.J. Harris
In our line of work, we are often ask to voice multiple characters but S.J. Harris is the one voice actress i've ever meet that can do THAT MANY in one project and still sound like you've hired 20 different freaking voice actors.
I do not know how she can pull this out and i don't want to know, I know it works and, oh...what a surprise, that amazing talent was introduced to me by Madison Mitts.
thank you Mads and THANK You Madame Harris !
Lucas Webley
When I started in this biz, Mr. Webley was also there on the starting line, and I couldn't bear the fact that...he is handsome, he is a damn good actor, his voice is just a bazooka blast in a room of other voice actors who aspire to be sexy male voices.
And even had the cheers of Monsieur David Hayter himself.
Then i've stopped calling him my Nemesis and just enjoy the camaraderie, working together and offering each other's projects, and not only have I discovered what a gentle soul he is and how much I like to have such a " nemesis " to motivate myself to be a better voice actor.
